Northlight Theatre Announces Casting For Remaining Season Productions

Terrence McNally’s Tony-nominated ”Mothers and Sons” will play the Chicago theater.

Northlight Theatre has announced casting for the remainder of its 2015-16 season productions.

Terrence McNally's Tony-nominated play Mothers and Sons is next at Northlight, featuring a cast that includes Cindy Gold (Katharine Gerard), Ben Miller (Bud Ogden-Porter), Jeff Parker (Cal Porter), and Ben Sprunger (Will Ogden).

The story follows a still-grieving mother and her encounter with her late son's former partner, now married to another man and raising a child. Directed by Steve Scott, performances will run from January 22-February 28, 2016.

Richard Strand's Civil War drama Butler, directed by Stuart Carden, will then run from March 11-April 17, 2016. The cast will feature Nate Burger (Lt Kelly), Tim Monsion (Major Cary), Tosin Morohunfola (Shepard Mallory), and Greg Vinkler (Maj Gen Butler).

The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, written by the executive producer/writer of Real Time with Bill Maher Scott Carter, will close out the season with a run from May 6-June 12, 2016. Directed by Kimberly Senior, the cast will star Nathan Hosner (Thomas Jefferson), Mark Montgomery (Leo Tolstoy), and Jeff Parker (Charles Dickens), who debate the meaning of life and the nature of God in the new comedy.
