Mike Daisey will offer a one-night-only performance of his monologue The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, on Saturday, April 7 at 7pm at The Chicago Theatre. The event will be hosted by Ira Glass, who will also moderate a Q&A session that will follow the performance.

The piece focuses on the trip that the narrator, a self-professed "worshipper in the cult of Mac," takes to China to see for himself how his favorite the electronic products are manufactured, and finds that the world's thirst for the newest gadgets has far-reaching implications.

Daisey is currently performing the show at the Public Theater in New York, where it will continue through March 18. His many other monologues include The Last Cargo Cult, How Theater Failed America, and 21 Dog Years. He has performed in venues on five continents, ranging from Off-Broadway at the Public to remote islands in the South Pacific, from the Sydney Opera House to an abandoned theater in post-Communist Tajikistan.
