The Mercury Theater in Chicago will present Freud’s Last Session, March 14-June 3, with an opening on March 25. Tyler Marchant directs.

The play, written by Mark St. Germain, centers on psychoanalyst Dr. Sigmund Freud, who invites the rising academic star C. S. Lewis to his home in London. On the day England enters World War II, Freud and Lewis clash on the existence of God, love, sex, and the meaning of life.

The production will feature Mark H. Dold as C. S. Lewis and Martin Rayner as Sigmund Freud.

The design team includes Brian Prather (set design), Mark Mariani (costume design), Clifton Taylor (lighting design), and Beth Lake (sound design).
