The Little Foxes begins its run tonight at the Goodman Theatre. At the beginning of the play, Oscar and Ben Hubbard are looking to start an industrialized cotton mill, which could earn millions. To fund the venture, however, they need help from their sister Regina, whose dying husband refuses the brothers request. This refusal begins a catastrophic chain of events fraught with betrayals. The genteel façade of the family falls away to reveal a ruthless pursuit of wealth in this examination of the dark side of the American Dream.

Written by Lillian Hellman and directed by Henry Wishcamper, the show features Michael Canavan as William Marshall, Shannon Cochran as Regina Giddens, Mary Beth Fisher as Birdie Hubbard, Rae Gray as Alexandra "Zan" Giddens, John Judd as Horace Giddens, Steve Pickering as Oscar Hubbard, Cherene Snow as Addie, Dan Waller as Leo Hubbard, Larry Yando as Benjamin Hubbard, and Dexter Zollicoffer as Cal.

The creative team includes Todd Rosenthal (set design), Jenny Mannis (costume design), David Lander (lighting design), Richard Woodbury (sound design), Neena Arndt (dramaturg), and Adam Belcuore (casting).

Performances will run through June 7.
