Tony Award winner Rondi Reed will join the previously reported Tony winner John Mahoney in the world premiere of Bruce Graham’s The Outgoing Tide, to be presented by Northlight Theatre, May 12-June 19, with an opening on May 21. BJ Jones will direct.

The play is set in a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, where Gunner (Mahoney) has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his family’s future but meets with resistance from his wife and son, who have plans of their own. The production will also feature Thomas J. Cox.

Mahoney won a Tony Award for The House of Blue Leaves, and is perhaps best known for his role of Martin Crane on the sitcom Frasier. Reed won a Tony for her work in August: Osage County, and plays Peggy on the CBS series, Mike & Molly. Cox is a founding ensemble member of Lookingglass, and has received two Joseph Jefferson Award nominations for his theater work.
