Jennifer Lim, Stephen Pucci, James Waterston, et al. Set for Goodman Theater’s Chinglish

The Goodman Theatre has announced casting for David Henry Hwang’s Chinglish, to run June 18-July 24. Leigh Silverman will direct the production.

The work concerns an American business man who travels to China hoping to make an important deal and finds himself enmeshed in a system more complex than he ever imagined.

The company will feature James Waterston (Daniel), Stephen Pucci (Peter), Jennifer Lim (Xu Yan), Larry Zhang (Cai Guoliang), Christine Lin (Mrs. Zhao), Angela Lin (Miss Qian/Prosecutor Li), and Johnny Wu (Judge Xu Geming/ Bing).

The creative team will include David Korins (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), Brian MacDevitt (lighting design), Darron West (sound design), and Jeff Sugg (projection design).
