Gavin Lee and Other Mary Poppins Cast Members to Perform Benefit for About Face Theatre

Cast members from the national tour of Mary Poppins, now running at Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theatre, will perform a cabaret benefit for About Face Theatre at Sidetrack (3349 N. Halsted), on June 15 at 7:30 pm.

The evening, entitled Poppins: A Lovin’ Spoonful will feature a selection of songs exploring the theme of love and all its journeys. Performers will include Tony nominee and Drama Desk winner Gavin Lee, who stars as Bert in the production, along with Emily Harvey, Brandon Bieber, Geoffrey Goldberg, Brian Letendre, Tom Souhrada, Elizabeth Broadhurst, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Jesse Swimm, and Shua Potter.

In addition, About Face will also present two additional events as part of its Summer Camp cabaret series: The Homo Show, curated by Paula Gilovich and Jane Beachy (Subterranean, July 27, at 8pm) and FLIP FLOP Pop: The 70’s (Sidetrack, August 24, time TBA).
