Colin Quinn will bring his show, Long Story Short, to Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place, to run August 24 – September 10. Jerry Seinfeld has directed the production, which played Broadway earlier this year.

In the show, Quinn comically examines over 2000 years of history, offering satirical takes on the attitudes, appetites and habits that toppled powerful empires. In addition to its Broadway run, the piece was broadcast as an HBO special.

Quinn is perhaps best known for his work on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, where he also served as a writer. Among his other writing credits are In Living Color and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. As a performer, he has been seen in such films as Married to the Mob, A Night at the Roxbury, and Grown-Ups, as well as the forthcoming Booted.
