Performances of After All the Terrible Things I Do start tonight at Theater Wit.

Daniel, a young gay writer, returns to his Midwestern hometown after graduating college to begin his adult life. In a trip back to the past, however, he takes a job at the local bookstore he knew as a child. Working there with him is Linda, the Filipina bookstore owner. As they begin to discover a connection much deeper than a love of literature, the two are forced to explore the dark side of ordinary people, second chances, and the price of forgiveness.

Artistic director Andrew Volkoff helms the play, written by A. Rey Pamatmat and featuring Colin Sphar and Lisa Tejero.

"A. Rey Pamatmat is one of the most exciting and dynamic voices in the American theatre today," said artistic director Andrew Volkoff. "This piece is deceptively complex, highly engaging yet with deep resonance, asking the audience to question what they see on stage and in their own lives."

The creative team includes Chelsea Warren (set design), Bob Kuhn (costume design), Jared Gooding (lighting design), Christopher Kriz (sound design), Jenny Pinson (props design), and Dana Nestrick (stage manager).

Performances will run through April 10.
