Original Cast of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Gloria to Reunite at Goodman Theatre

The Pulitzer Prize finalist is directed by Evan Cabnet.

The entire original off-Broadway cast of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins acclaimed dark comedy Gloria will reunite to perform the show's Chicago premiere, January 14-19 at the Goodman Theatre.

Evan Cabnet directs the work, which will feature Kyle Beltran, Catherine Combs, Michael Crane, Jennifer Kim, Jeanine Serralles, and Ryan Spahn, all of whom appeared in the Vineyard Theatre's 2015 world premiere mounting. Gloria is a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The creative team will include Takeshi Kata (set), Ilona Somogyi (costumes), Matt Frey (lights), Matt Tierney (sound), and J. David Brimmer (fight choreographer).

The Goodman has also announced casting for several other productions throughout the season. Annie Baker's adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, directed by Robert Falls February 11-March 12, will feature Kristen Bush (Yelena), Marton Csokas (Astrov), David Darlow (Serebryakov), Marilyn Dodds Frank (Maria), Tim Hopper (Vanya), Caroline Neff (Sonya), Larry Neumann, Jr. (Telegin), Alžan Pelesić (Yefim), and Mary Ann Thebus (Marina). On the creative team are Todd Rosenthal (set), Ana Kuzmanic (costumes), Keith Parham (lights), and Richard Woodbury (sound).

Karen Zacarías' Destiny of Desire will feature Esperanza America, Elisa Bocanegra, Eduardo Enrikez, Evelina Fernandez, Fidel Gomez, Cástulo Guerra, ​​​Ricardo Gutierrez, Ruth Livier, Mauricio Mendoza, and Ella Saldana North. It will run March 11-April 16 under the direction of José Luis Valenzuela, with a creative team including François-Pierre Couture (sets), Julie Weiss (costumes), Pablo Santiago (lights), John Zalewski (sound), and Rosino Serrano (composer/music director).

Lauren Yee's King of the Yees, will star Francis Jue, Stephenie S. Park, Dan Smith, Angela Lin, and Rammel Chan. Running March 31-April 30, it will be directed by Joshua Kahan Brody and have a creative team including William Boles (set), Izumi Inaba (costumes), Heather Gilbert (lights) and Mikhail Fiskel (sound), and Mike Tutaj (projections).

Lastly, the organization revealed that Steve Scott, Artistic Associate and Producer at the Goodman, will direct the theater's upcoming production of Eugene O'Neill's Ah, Wilderness! this spring. Scott assumes his responsibility from Falls, who was originally announced as the production's director and has bowed out due to scheduling conflicts.
