LiveWire Chicago’s production of Bekah Brunstetter’s Oohrah! has been added to the Steppenwolf Garage Rep series, and will be presented as part of the repertory of three productions, February 2-April 8.

The play replaces the previously reported LiveWire Chicago production of Melissa James Gibson’s Current Nobody. Oohrah! will be directed by Brad Akin, and feature Peter Esposito, Joel Ewing, Madeline Long, Melissa Engle, Josh Odor, Calliope Porter
and Ian R. Tranberg. In the play, surprised by her husband’s early return from a tour in Iraq, Sara is unprepared for the complications of his re-entry into civilian life.

The repertory will continue to include the Theatre Zarko production of Michael Montenegro’s He Who, which centers on four women who attempt to raise one grotesquely enormous baby, to be directed by the author and feature Nancy Andria, Karen Hoyer, Katherine Jones, Laura Montenegro, Ellen O’Keefe, Noah Silver-Mathews and Colleen Werle; and The Inconvenience production of Ike Holter’s Hit the Wall, an examination of the Stonewall Riots, directed by Eric Hoff and featuring Walter Owen Briggs, Manny Buckley, Daniel Desmaris, Desmond Gray, Steve Lenz, Layne Manzer, Shannon Matesky, Rania Salem Manganaro, Arturo Soria, and Mary Williamson.
