Alene Robertson, Hollis Resnik to Take Part in March 5 Sarah Siddons Society Performance
Preliminary casting has been announced for a special Sarah Siddons Society event to be offered on Monday, March 5 at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre. David Bell will host the event.
Among the artists scheduled to take part in the concert — which will toast the society’s work and its history — are Mary Ernster, Heidi Kettenring, Ross Lehman, Andy Lupp, Johanna McKenzie Miller, Hollis Resnik, and Alene Robertson. Additional casting will be announced in the near future.
In related news, it has been announced that Dominic Missimi has been appointed as executive director of the society. Missimi has worked with the Sarah Siddons Society for the past 20 years, supplying entertainment for the annual gala celebrations. He is a Professor Emeritus at Northwestern University, is founder of the school’s well-known Music Theatre Program and Executive Director of the American Music Theatre Project, an organization dedicated to the creation of new music theater.
The Society is celebrating its 60th Anniversary year, having given its first Sarah Siddons Actress of the Year to Helen Hayes in 1952.
