Writers’ Theatre has extended its revival of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire a third and final time, with the closing date now set for August 15. David Cromer has directed the production.

The company features Natasha Lowe (Blanche), Matt Hawkins (Stanley), Danny McCarthy (Mitch), Jenn Engstrom (Eunice), Loren Lazarine (Steve), Esteban Andres Cruz (Pablo), Stacy Stoltz (Stella), Carolyn E. Nelson (Colored Woman/Matron), Derek Hasenstab (Doctor), and Ryan Hallahan (Young Collector).

Cromer received an Obie Award for his direction of Our Town and the production was also awarded 2009 Lucille Lortels for Outstanding Play Revival and Direction. Cromer made his Broadway directing debut with Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs and will direct, as previously announced, the musical Yank! on Broadway this fall.
