James Cameron Developing Cirque Du Soleil 3D Movie

Cirque du Soleil and James Cameron are collaborating on a new 3D movie, according to a report in The New York Times. Andrew Adamson is directing the as-yet-untitled project which is in production. No release date has been set.

The movie will feature Cirque performers and its signature visuals, while presenting the circus in an entirely new fashion.

Among Cirque du Soleil’s many offerings are its standing productions of Love, which features music by the Beatles and Mystere in Las Vegas and such touring offerings as Dralion. Among the company’s upcoming plans are the previously announced Zarkana, which is scheduled to debut at Radio City Music Hall in June, as well as the previously reported Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour, which will launch from Montreal in October.
