After becoming the victim of a prom night prank, Carrie uses her newly discovered telekinetic powers to wreak havoc on those who have done her wrong. The musical premiered on Broadway in 1988, playing only five post-opening performances, followed by a 2012 off-Broadway revival at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. The show has gone on to receive numerous regional productions.
