Wicked Welcomes Ginna Claire Mason as New Broadway Glinda

Katie Rose Clarke will play her final performance on April 7.

Ginna Claire Mason will assume the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked beginning April 9 at the Gershwin Theatre. Mason spent the past year playing the role on tour and, prior to that, served as the Glinda standby on Broadway.

Mason joins a cast that currently includes Jessica Vosk as Elphaba, Nancy Opel as Madame Morrible, Michael McCormick as the Wizard, Ryan McCartan as Fiyero, Jamie Jackson as Doctor Dillamond, Gizel Jiménez as Nessarose, and Jesse JP Johnson as Boq. Katie Rose Clarke will play her final performance as Glinda on Sunday, April 7.

Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello with musical staging by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento
