The 2017 Jimmy Awards, held on June 26 at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre, was the first in the high school musical theater competition's history held in the absence of its namesake, James M. Nederlander. The legendary Broadway producer died on July 25, 2016, inspiring a special homage to his life and career at this year's ceremony.
