The Ferryman Celebrates Its New Broadway Company

The stars and kids party to welcome a new cast.

Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman celebrated the arrival of its new Broadway cast on March 10 at the Brazen Tavern.

Directed by Sam Mendes, the 35-member cast is headed by three-time Tony nominee Brian d'Arcy James as Quinn Carney, Holley Fain as Caitlin Carney, Tony winner Shuler Hensley as Tom Kettle, and Emily Bergl as Mary Carney.

Rounding out the company are Fred Applegate, Glynis Bell, Peter Bradbury, Trevor Harrison Braun, Ralph Brown, Sean Frank Coffey, Will Coombs, Gina Costigan, Charles Dale, Sean Delaney, Jack DiFalco, Ethan Dubin, Fionnula Flanagan, Julian Gamble, Carly Gold, Holly Gould, Terence Keeley, Collin Kelly-Sordelet, Ryder Koehle, Matilda Lawler, Michael Quinton McArthur, Willow McCarthy, Ann McDonough, Bella May Mordus, Julia Nightingale, Griffin Osborne, Annie Scarfuto, Brooklyn Shuck, Glenn Speers, Rafael West Vallés, and Graham Winton.

The Ferryman is set in rural Northern Ireland in 1981. The Carney farmhouse is a hive of activity with preparations for the annual harvest. A day of hard work on the land and a traditional night of feasting and celebrations lie ahead. But this year they will be interrupted by a visitor.

The Ferryman opened at London's Royal Court in May 2017 before transferring to the Gielgud, where it ended its thrice-extended, yearlong run on May 19, 2018. The production opened on Broadway on October 21, 2018, featuring original London stars Paddy Considine, Laura Donnelly, and Genevieve O'Reilly.
