TEDxBroadway Adds Speakers to 2018 Lineup

Shaina Taub, David Yazbeck, and more are among the previously announced presenters.

Additional speakers have been announced for TEDxBroadway 2018, an all-day conference scheduled for February 27 at New World Stages. The annual event, now in its seventh year, asks its presenters to address the question "What’s the Best Broadway Can Be?"

Newly announced speakers include Jim Joseph (theater manager at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, the Broadway home of Manhattan Theatre Club); Melissa Anelli (C.E.O. of Mischief Management, cofounder of BroadwayCon, and author of Harry, A History: The True Story of a Boy Wizard, His Fans, and Life Inside the Harry Potter Phenomenon); Karen Brooks Hopkins (BAM’s president from 1999-2015 and author of Successful Fundraising for Arts & Cultural Organizations; Ron Simons (Tony-winning producer and founder and C.E.O. of SimonSays Entertainment); and Ryan Chang (founder of Ivy Consulting Group and Residential Arts Group).

They join previously announced speakers and performers actor Shakina Nayfack (Difficult People), New York Post columnist Michael Riedel, composer Shaina Taub, and composer David Yazbek (The Band's Visit).

TEDxBroadway was cofounded by Damian Bazadona of Situation Interactive and Jim McCarthy, C.E.O. of Goldstar.
