Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider was honored with a certificate naming him Worldwide Ambassador for the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, at a celebration at Bowlmor Lanes Times Square on Friday, April 1.

Snider, whose music is featured in the show (“I Wanna Rock” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It”), recently played the character of Dennis for an 11-week run before the show went dark last fall in anticipation of its move to the Helen Hayes Theatre, where it is currently performing.

Rock of Ages focuses on a young rocker hungry for his big break and a small town girl who meet in 1987 at a legendary Hollywood club facing its imminent demise. The score includes the hit songs of iconic rockers like REO Speedwagon, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake, and many more. The musical’s book is written by Chris D’Arenzio. Kristin Hanggi has directed the production, which features choreography by Kelly Devine.
