Playwright Paula Vogel's Indecent is now playing at Broadway's Cort Theatre. Directed by Rebecca Taichman, the show's opening night is set for April 18. Take a look at photos from the production in the gallery below.

The play with music is inspired by the controversial Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's 1923 play God of Vengeance. Some saw Asch's play as a seminal work of Jewish culture, while others saw it as an act of traitorous libel. Indecent is a transfer of the Vineyard Theatre production, which ran off-Broadway in 2016 in association with La Jolla Playhouse and Yale Repertory Theatre. The production marks the Broadway debuts of Vogel and Taichman.

As with the off-Broadway production, the company is made up of Katrina Lenk (Once), Mimi Lieber (Act One), Max Gordon Moore (Relatively Speaking), Tom Nelis (The Visit), Steven Rattazzi (The Fourth Sister), Richard Topol (Fish in the Dark), and Adina Verson (Him). Co-composers Aaron Halva and Lisa Gutkin serve as the onstage band along with Matt Darriau.

The production's creative team includes David Dorfman (choreographer), Riccardo Hernandez (scenic designer), Emily Rebholz (costume designer), Chris Akerlind (lighting designer), Matt Hubbs (sound designer), and Tal Yarden (projection designer).
