Roundabout Theatre Company has pushed the opening-night date of its upcoming revival of Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Long Day’s Journey Into Night. Originally scheduled for April 19 at the American Airlines Theatre, the production will now officially open on Tuesday, April 27. Previews begin March 31, 2016. The limited engagement will run through June 26.

Jonathan Kent directs the semiautobiographical four-act drama, which is widely considered both O'Neill's magnum opus and one of the best plays of the 20th century. Leading the company are Oscar and Emmy winner Jessica Lange (American Horror Story) as Mary Tyrone, Golden Globe winner Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment) as James Tyrone, Tony winner John Gallagher Jr. (The Newsroom) as Edmund, and Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (Boardwalk Empire) as Jim Tyrone Jr.

Casting for the one remaining role, Cathleen, will be announced in the coming months. Roundabout presents Long Day's Journey Into Night in association with Ryan Murphy, the producer of TV's Glee and American Horror Story.
