James Earl Jones to Receive Special Lifetime Achievement Tony Award

James Earl Jones will be this year’s recipient of the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, the Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced.

Jones' illustrious career on Broadway includes Fences (Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play), "Master Harold"…and the Boys, The Great White Hope (Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play), Othello, Driving Miss Daisy, You Can't Take It With You, The Best Man, and other productions.

The American Theatre Wing's 71st Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Kevin Spacey, will air live from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 11.
