Jane the Virgin star Jaime Camil has extended his run in the Broadway cast of Chicago through July 31 at the Ambassador Theatre. Camil, who's run began on May 31, was originally scheduled to star as Billy Flynn through July 3.

Featuring classic tunes by John Kander and Fred Ebb, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, a nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her crime into a barrage of sensational headlines. The revival is directed by Walter Bobbie.

Over his 20-year career, Camil has released four platinum-selling albums and has appeared in the telenovelas La fea más bella and Qué pobres tan ricos. He currently stars as Rogelio de la Vega on Jane the Virgin. On Broadway, he appeared in Latinologues.

Chicago also currently stars Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Matron "Mama" Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
