See Grayce Spence, Original Kiss Me, Kate Member, With Kelli O'Hara and More

The only living member of the musical’s original Broadway cast joins Roundabout Theatre Company’s Tony-nominated revival.

At the May 21 performance of Roundabout Theatre Company's new revival of Kiss Me, Kate, the company hosted a special guest backstage before the show: Grayce Spence, the only living member of the cast of the Cole Porter musical's original Broadway production. Spence was a member of the singing ensemble. Check out a photo of Spence with Kelli O'Hara, Will Chase, Corbin Bleu, and the rest of the cast onstage at Studio 54 below.

Directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Warren Carlyle with music direction by Paul Gemignani, Kiss Me, Kate features a book by Sam and Bella Spewack, and music and lyrics by Cole Porter. Winner of the first-ever Tony Award for Best Musical, Kiss Me, Kate is a backstage comedy that follows onstage and offstage romances that unfold through a production of a musical version of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.

The limited Broadway engagement at Studio 54 opened on March 14, and will run through June 30.
