The stars of Sam Shepard's 1983 drama Fool for Love celebrated their Broadway opening night on Thursday, October 8. The production of Manhattan Theatre Club, running at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, stars Tony winner Nina Arianda and Sam Rockwell as a pair of former lovers who unpack their relationship in a seedy Mojave Desert motel. Daytime Emmy winner Tom Pelphrey and Tony nominee Gordon Joseph Weiss complete the cast.

Director Daniel Aukin, who staged the 2014 Williamstown Theatre Festival mounting of Fool for Love, in which Arianda, Rockwell, and Weiss appeared, returns alongside his creative team, made up of Dane Laffrey (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), Justin Townsend (lighting design), Ryan Rumery (sound design), and David S. Leong (movement and fights).

Guests at the opening-night celebration included Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde, The Sopranos favorites Edie Falco and Aida Turturro, TV vets Chris Messina (The Mindy Project) and Matt Ross (Big Love), Brooke Shields, Sherie Rene Scott, and Labyrinth Theater Company favorites Yul Vázquez, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Callie Thorne, and many others.
