The Color Purple's Cynthia Erivo Brings the House Down at Kennedy Center Honors

On Tuesday evening, CBS aired the ceremony for the 2016 Kennedy Center Honors, which included a showstopping performance by The Color Purple's Tony-winning star Cynthia Erivo. She performed the song "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha during a segment paying tribute to President John F. Kennedy. Not only did she get a standing ovation from the First Family, but she even got Aretha Franklin to sing along to the moving showtune.
