Junkyard Dog Productions announced today that the North American tour of Come From Away has recouped its investment in 19 weeks after launching in October 2018 at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre. The tour is currently playing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Set against the backdrop of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Come From Away follows what happens when 38 planes and 6,579 passengers are forced to land in Gander, doubling the population of "one small town on the edge of the world." It was nominated for seven 2017 Tony Awards, winning one for Christopher Ashley's direction, and is now in its third year on Broadway at the Schoenfeld Theatre. The London production, which recently opened at the Phoenix Theatre, was nominated for nine Olivier Awards earlier this week.

Come From Away features a book, music, and lyrics by Tony nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, with direction by Tony winner Christopher Ashley, musical staging by two-time Tony nominee Kelly Devine, and music supervision by Grammy nominee Ian Eisendrath.
