The Cher Show's subject, the Grammy-, Oscar-, Golden Globe-, and Emmy award-winning Cher, paid the company of the new Broadway musical a visit during rehearsals. Currently in previews, the production is set for an official press opening on December 3 at the Neil Simon Theatre.

The Cher Show features a book by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), direction by Jason Moore (Avenue Q), choreography by Christopher Gattelli, with Daryl Waters providing orchestrations, arrangements, and musical supervision. Cher's classic songs make up the score.

The Cher Show stars Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), joined by Teal Wicks (Wicked) and Micaela Diamond in the role of the iconic singer and actor at various times in her life and career. Also in the cast are Tony nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as Sonny Bono, Tony nominee Michael Berresse (Kiss Me, Kate) as Bob Mackie, Michael Campayno (Wicked) as Rob Camilletti, Matthew Hydzik (It Shoulda Been You) as Gregg Allman, and Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Prince of Broadway) as Georgia Holt.
