Andy Kelso Returns to Kinky Boots as Broadway's Final Charlie Price

The Broadway production of Kinky Boots announced today that it will welcome back Andy Kelso to the lead role of Charlie Price beginning January 11 and running through show's final performance on April 7.

An original ensemble cast member, Kelso began performances as Charlie Price in January 2014, playing the role through August 2016, and returning to the role again August-September 2017. For his final run, he succeeds UK pop singer Conor Maynard, who plays the role of Charlie through January 10.

Kelso begins performances the same day that Callum Francis, star of the UK and Australian Tours of Kinky Boots, will make his Broadway debut as Lola. Playing the role through March 17, Francis succeeds J. Harrison Ghee, who departs the show on January 10, but will return to the role again after Francis, beginning on March 19 and running through the show's final performance.

The producers also recently announced that former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber will take over the role of Don beginning January 21. He will play a limited run through March 3.

The winner of six 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a Tony Award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell.

The current Broadway cast of Kinky Boots features J. Harrison Ghee (Lola), Conor Maynard (Charlie Price), Carrie St. Louis (Lauren), Daniel Stewart Sherman (Don), and Caroline Bowman (Nicola).
