Duncan Sheik and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's musical version of Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho will play Broadway's Schoenfeld Theatre beginning Thursday, March 24, producers have announced. As previously announced, Benjamin Walker (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) stars as Patrick Bateman.

Set in 1980s Manhattan, American Psycho follows rockstar banker Patrick Bateman, who, amid buying expensive clothes, eating at exclusive restaurants, and partying at the hottest clubs, leads a secret double life as a serial killer. American Psycho had its world premiere at the Almeida Theatre in London in December 2013.

Tony winner Sheik, whose musical Spring Awakening is currently running at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, pens the score, with Aguirre-Sacasa (Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) providing the book. Rupert Goold directs and Lynne Page choreographs. Additional casting and creative team information will be announced.

American Psycho, which heads into the Schoenfeld after the run of David Mamet's China Doll, had originally been scheduled to begin performances February 19, with opening night set for March 21. A new opening date will be announced.
