CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

I was hoping that he would get caught by the first act curtain so that I could leave. What a dreadful score, dreary choreography and a most annoying characterization by Norbert L. Butz. He came off as such a buffoon and totally unbelievable character and I really had to look away when he was on stage. Only Tom Wopat brought some humanity and dimension to the evening. Are all musicals destined to have a Rockets kick line. I know the out of towners think its great but enough already. Leave it to the owners at the Music Hall where it works

Offensively bad

The music was boring. The plot line was ridiculous for stage. The cast was amazingly talented but everything still seemed a bit sloppy. All in all, this musical was offensive to my senses as a theater-lover. I feel like my pocket book was violated.

Entertaining but rather watch the movie...

The big numbers were fun but I dont think this translates well as a broadway show. Norbert Leo Butz made the show. Im glad I got to see this show through Gold Club but I would have been disappointed, if I had paid full price for tickets.

Smart, fun--but too long!

Its a fun night out. Some clever songs and nice dance numbers--the story is also interesting and fast paced. But it neednt be three hours long!

Be your own judge - ignore the critics

I loved it - wonderfully paced entertainment - talented and charismatic actors, an orchestra and catchy musical numbers. I dont understand the lukewarm reviews and negative comments. Bunch of curmudgeons out there, I suppose.

Disappointing & Boring!

It just doesnt work as a musical! As the star of the show~Aaron Tveit is a fine singer very cute indeed but he can not carry the show and is not a star and lacks the emotional depth needed and is too pretty boy as a con man. Norbert Leo Butz drags it along as the bumbling FBI character man adding some solidly acted and sung moments and stops the show in his superb act 1 finale. Tom Woppat looks terribly disinterested as he sleep walks thru the show as his Dad but sings it nicely if a bit hoarse. Both Moms portrayed are the best things in the show; The sultry Rachel DeBenedet stunningly graces the stage and sings beautifully. Linda Harts small but memorable role is sung w/ much brass n sass and she adds much humor to Act 2 the better act. Both have the best looking costumes in a show that looks ugly, shadowy & bland...lacking the pop-fun n sex appeal of the 60s. The large unsexy-bland ensemble brightly smiles but is stuck performing generic styled choreography. The score is ok.

Fantastic!!

Went to see this today with my girlfriends and absolutely loved it!! The costumes, music and dancing were top notch! Great cast!

Very Entertaining Show!! Go See it.

I have already seen this show twice and plan on seeing it again with my extended family to celebrate a special birthday. The show had all the elements of a broadway show - great story, dancing, music and staging. When I see a Broadway musical, I want to leave feeling happy and entertained. Catch Me If You Can did it all for me. Bravo!!

Don't Miss Catch

Best show Ive seen in years!! Saw it twice last week.

Catch Me if You Can

Awesome show!

I can't wait for the CD!

I cant believe I saw the same show as the so-called critics! I, and the audience around me, thought it was fantastic. All the leads were amazing, and the songs have been stuck in my head since I saw the show. It was extremely entertaining and I recommend it wholeheartedly. I cant wait for the CD to come out!

Catch me if you can

My husband is Aaron Tveits uncle and we saw the play in March. This play is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We are not saying that because we are related, but because this play is really great. The music is original with a story that makes you laugh and smile. Aarons singing, dancing and acting is just outstanding, along with the rest of the cast. The FBI agent that is portrayed by Norbert Butz also does an outstanding performance. This play keeps your attention from beginning to end and you will leave the theatre smiling and talking about how great the show was. This is a MUST SEE!

Pleasantly surprised!!!

I saw this last week, one of three shows that I saw while visiting NYC. I have to say this one was my favorite by far!!!! Aaron Tveit was awesome!!!! Great music, great dancing. Great show!

Stupid Happy Grin all the way home

I saw the 3/11 show and was throughly entertained. I cant point to any one aspect that thrilled me, it was a total package of fun. When I see a musical I want to be happy - this was a happy show, I felt like I scored a secret piece or Broadway candy..... walked the 10 blocks back to my hotel with an idiot stupid grin and feeling 40 lbs lighter

RE:Saw in Seattle

Cannot wait to see this on Broadway! Will be there during preivews. Saw it 3 times in Seattle and loved it and want to see how it has continued to improve from the wonderful run at the 5th Avenue Theatre!
