Trinity Repertory Company has announced its 2012-2013 season, helmed by artistic director Curt Columbus.

The season, which will celebrate the notion of epics, will kick off with Shakespeare’s King Lear (September-October), in a co-production with Dallas Theater Center. In November, Sarah Treem’s The How and the Why (November-December) will be presented in the Dowling Theater. A special presentation of A Christmas Carol (November 9-December 29), back after a sold out run last year, will be presented for the holiday season.

Curt Columbus and Marilyn Campbell’s adaptation of Crime and Punishment (January-March) will provide the centerpiece of the theater’s Project Discovery educational program. April will bring Social Creatures (April-May), a world premiere by Jackie Sibblies Drury, which was commissioned by Trinity Rep. Finally, the company will present the New England premiere of a 16-actor performance of Alan Ayckbourn’s House & Garden (June-July) in tandem on two stages.
