The world premiere of Stephen Sachs’ Bakersfield Mist, currently playing at New Repertory Theatre, has been extended through March 25. The production was originally slated to close on March 18. Jeff Zinn directs.

In Bakersfield Mist, Maude Gutman has bought the ugliest thrift store painting she could get her hands on as a gag gift. After the painting is rejected, Maude tries to offload it at a yard sale where she learns it might be much more than junk.

The play stars Ken Cheeseman as Lionel Percy and Paula Langton as Maude Gutman.

The design team includes Jiyoun Chang (Set Design), Anne Miggins (costume Ddesign), John Malinowski (lighting design), Nathan Leigh (sound design), and Mary Fritz (prop design).
