Stephanie J. Block, Linda Eder, Michael Feinstein, Julia Murney, et al. Set for Boston Pops’ Spring 2011 Season

The Boston Pops has announced its 2011 spring season, to run May 11 – June 26.

The year for the orchestra will open with Linda Eder Sings Judy Garland, which will be May 11-13. Also scheduled to perform with the Boston Pops and conductor Keith Lockhart are Michael Feinstein (May 31-June 1) and Stephanie J. Block and Julia Murney (June 16-17), all of whom will be appearing as part of The American Songbook Series.

For the Pops’ American Icons series, Ron Raines and Kathleen Brett are scheduled to join Lockhart on June 23-24 for concerts featuring songs by George Gershwin and Richard Rodgers.

In addition to these events, the schedule also includes a guest conductor appearance by composer John Williams, who will lead the Boston Pops in Hooray for Hollywood (May 25-May 28), a series of concerts that will also feature oboist Keisuke Wakao.

Other guest artists during the Boston Pops’ spring season include The Swingle Sisters, Kenny Loggins, and Bryon Stripling, among others.
