Pascale Armand, Carla Duran, Tonye Patano, et al Set for Huntington Theatre’s Ruined

Huntington Theatre Company has announced complete casting for Lynn Nottage’s Ruined, to run January 7 – February 6. Liesl Tommy will direct the production, which will have choreography by Randy Duncan.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play looks at how a group of strong-willed women in the Congo survive the country’s ongoing civil war.

The company will feature Oberon K.A. Adjepong (Christian), Pascale Armand (Salima), Jason Bowen (Fortune), Carla Duran (Sophie), Wendell Franklin (Jerome), Zainab Jah (Josephine), Joseph Kamal (Mr. Harari), Kola Ogundiran (Laurent), Okieriete Onaodowan (Simon), Tonye Patano (Mama Nadi), and Adrian Roberts (Commander Osembenga). The production will also feature musicians Alvin Terry and Adesoji Odukogbe.

The creative team will include scenic designer Clint Ramos, costume designer Kathleen Geldard, and lighting designer Lap Chi Chu. Broken Chord Collection will provide original music, sound design, and musical direction.
