Marianna Bassham and Bates Wilder to Star in SpeakEasy’s Blackbird

Marianna Bassham and Bates Wilder will star in SpeakEasy Stage Company’s production of David Harrower’s controversial play, Blackbird, to be presented at the Boston Center for the Arts Calderwood Pavilion, February 20-March 21. David R. Gammons will direct.

Winner of the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Play, Blackbird tells the story of former lovers Ray and Una, who must come to terms with their scandalous relationship and the truth surrounding their abandoned love.

The creative team will include Eric Levenson (set), Gail Astrid Buckley (costumes), Jeff Adelberg (lighting), and Cam Willard (sound).
