Ed Bullins, Israel Horovitz, Ronan Noone Works Part of Boston Theater Marathon

Boston Playwrights’ Theatre has announced the line-up the 12th annual Boston Theater Marathon, to be held on May 23, and to be preceded by a program of “Warm-Up Laps” on May 22. All plays will be performed in theStanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts.

The Marathon features 50 ten-minute plays, by 51 New England playwrights, produced by 50 New England theatres in 10 hours. All net proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund which provides financial support to theatres and theatre artists in times of need.

Among the offerings are Movement Two by Ed Bullins, presented Roxbury Crossroads Theatre; 2nd Violin by Israel Horovitz, presented by Gloucester Stage Co. & Barefoot Theatre Co.; Bad Santa by Melinda Lopez & Maxine Lopez-Keough, presented by Theatre On Fire; The Shit Stirring Machine by Ronan Noone, presented by Bad Habits Theatre Company; Wasteland by Katherine Snodgrass, presented by Huntington Theatre Company; and Pseudoephedrine by Ken Urban, Pilgrim Theatre And Collaborative.
