Christine Pedi and Marilyn Maye Scheduled to Perform at Provincetown's Art House
Pedi will be joined by SiriusXM Radio's Seth Rudetsky with Billy Stritch serving as Maye's accompanist.
The Provincetown Art House has announced plans to welcome Broadway veteran Christine Pedi (Chicago) and cabaret vocalist Marilyn Maye for upcoming concerts. Pedi's one-night-only engagement will take place on August 22. Maye is scheduled to perform with accompanist Billy Stritch from August 25-29.
Chistine Pedi's concert, which will be presented as part of the Broadway @ The Art House series, will be hosted by SiriusXM radio star Seth Rudetsky. Concerts in the series are described as a combination of "intimate, funny and revealing behind-the-scenes stories from Broadway's biggest stars and their stellar singing of musical theater repertoire."
In addition to Billy Stritch on the piano, Marilyn Maye's concerts will feature Steve Doyle on bass and Daniel Glass on drums.
Chistine Pedi can currently be seen in off-Broadway's NEWSical the Musical and heard daily hosting SiriusXM Radioʼs On Broadway channel 72. Her Broadway credits include Chicago, Talk Radio, and Little Me. In 1996, she received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Forbidden Hollywood. She's also been seen on television in HBO's The Sopranos as Mrs. Bobby Baccala.
Marilyn Maye is a Grammy nominee who made numerous recordings with RCA during the 1960s, after which she has had a highly successful career as a cabaret artist. She has also appeared onstage in musicals such as Hello, Dolly! and Can-Can. Following a 15-year absence, Maye returned to the New York stage in October 2006 and has since appeared at the Metropolitan Room, Birdland, Feinstein's at the Loews Regency Hotel, New York's Town Hall, and more.
