Annie Baker, Edward Hall, Nicholas Martin, Lynn Nottage, et al. to Be Part of Huntington Theatre Company’s 2010-2011 Season

The Huntington Theatre Company has announced its 2010-2011 season.

The season will open with a revival of William Inge’s Bus Stop (September 17-October 24), to be directed by former artistic director Nicholas Martin. It will continue with Annie Baker’s Circle Mirror Transformation (October 15 – November 14). Melia Bensussen will direct the production, which, as previously announced, will be part of The Shirley Vermont Plays festival, a collaborative effort with SpeakEasy Stage Company and Company One to present the three plays in Baker’s cycle about the fictitious New England Town.

The theater’s artistic director Peter DuBois will stage two world premieres in the coming year: Bob Glaudini’s Vengeance is the Lord (November 12 -December 12) and Stephen Karam’s Sons of the Prophet (March 25-April 24).

The Huntington’s season will also include Lynn Nottage’s Ruined, directed by Liesl Tommy (January 7-February 6), Willy Holtzman’s Educating Rita (March 11-April 10); as well as repertory productions of The Comedy of Errors and Richard III, directed by Edward Hall and performed by the UK-based Propeller Theatre Company (May 18-June 19).
