Barrington Stage Company has announced its complete Stage 2 season, which as previously reported, will kick off with the Off-Broadway hit Zero Hour, starring Jim Brochu (May18-June 5), followed by Lee Blessing's Going to St. Ives, directed by Tyler Marchant (June 22-July 10).

Newly announced is the world premiere musical, Mormons, Mothers and Monsters (July 14-31), with music by Will Aronson and book and lyrics by Sam Salmond. In it, a boy and his Mormon mother smile their way through three shattering divorces. The piece is presented as part of BSC's Musical Theatre Lab, under the mentorship of Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist William Finn.

The season will also include the Berkshire premiere of My Name is Asher Lev (August 18- September 4), based on the acclaimed novel by Chaim Potok and adapted and directed by Aaron Posner. This coming-of-age story explores art, family, religion, and loyalty as a young Jewish painter is torn between his Hasidic upbringing and a desperate need to fulfill his artistic genius.

In addition, composer Vadim Feichtner and lyricist Jeremy Desmon will present their musical cabaret Surviving the Avalanche (June 10-12), with musical direction by Matt Castle. Songwriter Joe Iconis will make his BSC debut with Hell Raisers - A Night of Songs by Joe Iconis (August 11- 13).
