The lineup for the 2010 Tanglewood Jazz Festival has been announced. The two-day event will open on September 4 with Radio Deluxe, a program co-hosted by John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey. The show will feature two special guest stars who will be announced at a later date. In addition, it will be taped for future broadcast on more than 60 radio stations nation-wide.

Other events in the Festival include an appearance by Kurt Ellig (also on September 4), with Laurence Hobgood as the opening act. On September 5, clarinetist/saxophonist Eddie Daniels and pianist Bob James will perform Broadway Boogie, a program of chamber jazz which will precede an appearance by the Count Basie Orchestra. On the evening of the 5th, the Festival will close with performances by the Julian Lage Group and pianist/composer, Donal Fox, who will offer a new program called Piazzolla to Bach.

In addition to these performances, there will be offerings in the Jazz Café. Artists for this venue will be announced in the near future.
