Barrington Stage Company to Open 2012 Season with Fiddler on the Roof

Barrington Stage Company will open its 2012 season with the musical Fiddler on the Roof, to run June 13-July 14, 2012.

Based on the stories of Sholom Alecheim, the show features a book by Joseph Stein, and a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. It tells the universal tale of Tevye, the milkman, who tries to hold on to ‘tradition’ as the world around him and his family in the little village of Anatevka changes.

The original 1964 Broadway production won eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, Book and Score.
