Barrington Stage Announces Casting for American Son and Kimberly Akimbo

Tamara Tunie and Debra Jo Rupp will lead the Berkshire casts.

Barrington Stage Company has announced complete casting for its world premiere of Christopher Demos-Brown's American Son and David Lindsay-Abaire's Kimberly Akimbo.

Tamara Tunie (Law and Order) will lead the cast of American Son as Kendra Ellis-Connor. Joining her will be Michael Hayden (Carousel) as Scott Connor, Luke Smith (Peter and the Starcatcher) as Officer Paul Larkin, and Andre Ware (House of Cards) as Lt. John Stokes. Julianne Boyd will direct the production, running from June 17-July 9 with an official June 22 press opening.

Kimberly Akimbo, running from June 16-July 16 with a June 19 press opening, will star Debra Jo Rupp (That '70s Show) as the title character. The production will also feature Chris Thorn (As You Like It) as Buddy, Jessiee Datino (Angels in America) as Patti, Jessica Savage (The Big Bad) as Debra, and Adam Langdon (The Good Wife) as Jeff. Rob Ruggiero directs.
