Tony and Grammy Award winner Barbara Cook will perform at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center on Sunday, August 15 at 7pm. She replaces Elaine Stritch, who has postponed her engagement due to being cast, as previously reported, in the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music.

Cook is currently appearing in the Broadway production of Sondheim on Sondheim, for which she received a 2010 Tony Award nomination. She won a Tony for originating the role of Marian Paroo in The Music Man, and her many additional Broadway shows include Plain and Fancy, Flahooley, She Loves Me, and Candide.

Additional highlights of the Mahaiwe summer season include An Evening with Patti Lupone (July 11) and a pre-Broadway engagement of Eric Simonson’s new play, Lombardi (July 22-28).
