About This Show

Infinite Stage presents the New York premiere of Site-Seeing as part of the 10th annual New York International Fringe Festival. Leslie Felbain directs.

What do we see when we go “site-seeing”? Do we see places or stories or memories or dreams? Site-Seeing explores the myth of America in the style of theatrical clown (a synthesis of Beckett and Fellini). This ensemble portrays the tumultuous arrivals and eclectic experiences of eccentric and witty immigrants as they build their homes and establish themselves in their new land. The piece focuses on their stories and interactions as they discover and shape the landscape of their “new world.” The characters are the main fabric of the piece which integrates physically-based acting, deep character work, music, and visual images. Site-Seeing invites the audience to explore various unique immigration narratives through imagistic stories and collage.
