Steena Hernandez, Andy Kelso, Sara Ruzicka, Justin Senense, et al. Set for Westchester Broadway Theatre’s Rent

Casting has been announced for Westchester Broadway Theatre’s production of Rent, to be presented August 19-September 25, with an offiical opening on August 22. Patricia Wilcox will direct and choreograph the show, with musical direction by Christopher McGovern.

Based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera La Bohème, the show features music, lyrics and libretto by Jonathan Larson.Rent won numerous awards, including the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The cast will include Steena Hernandez (Mimi), Andy Kelso (Mark), Justin Keyes (Benny), Gabrielle Reid (Joanne), Angelo Rios (Tom Collins), Sara Ruzicka (Maureen) Justin Senense (Angel) . as well as Joseph Almohaya, Melvin Bell, Lovlee Carroll, Julie Conuel, Jason Gotay, Rebecca Larkin, Jenna Noel, Tanesha Ross, Antoine Smith, and Tonya Thompson.

The design team includes Ken Larson (sets), Andrew Gmoser (lighting), Jonathan Hatton (sound), and Matthew Hemesath (costumes).
