In Fallen Angels, Julia and Jane are two London housewives who studied together in Paris. There they each had an affair with a handsome young Frenchman named Maurice. Now they are married to complacent, rather dull husbands who spend more time golfing than entertaining their wives. So when Maurice writes to tell them that he will be visiting London, Julia and Jane conspire to meet him (secretly) together, since neither trusts the other to meet him alone. As the fated evening approaches, insecurities and jealousies turn the two friends (briefly) into deadly rivals who will go to any length to see Maurice alone.
