WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In a retrospective of the work he has presented across the globe since leaving the small town of Llangefni, emerging Welsh artist Hugh Hughes shares three joyful stories inspired by his own life, presented alongside new work created especially for this residency. Floating The remarkable story about the day when the Isle of Anglesey floated away from mainland Wales, drifted into the Atlantic and up to the Arctic. A comic exploration of the impossibility of leaving the place we come from. Story of a Rabbit When Hugh finds his neighbour's rabbit lying dead in his garden, he puts it in a box, but it doesn't fit. As he puzzles over what to do with the body he starts to wonder how much of life disappears once we die... 360 A story about friendship and sharing just about everything. Hugh climbs Snowdon with his best friend Gareth, but the journey to the summit leads to big questions about fantasy, first love and bottling things up.
