WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Burn/Chatroom/Citizenship are three short, sharp and provocative plays where the drama of teenagers' lives take center stage. Direct and honest, they are intensely alive to the possibilities and pressures we face on the verge of adulthood. In Deborah Gearing's Burn, a loner in foster-care asks a girl out on an ill-fated date in a stolen car. One day, on the riverbank, the friends he never had narrate the story of his dramatic last day. In Enda Walsh's Chatroom, six 15-year-olds type and chat in cyberspace. A chilling and powerful tale of manipulation and the ultimate act of teenage rebellion. Mark Ravenhill's Citizenship is a bittersweet comedy about growing up, following a boy's frank and messy search to discover his sexual identity.
